The Standard of Excellence achieved by an individual Person or Horse in any of the criteria is at a level set by Reining Australia Hall of Fame and the Board of Directors or approved Committee.
To be considered by Reining Australia Hall of Fame a person/horse must meet the following selection criteria:
Selection Criteria for Nomination of a Horse
* Stallions: Must have 5 or more progeny with combined earnings of over $100,000 in prize money or have sired 5 separate progeny, which have won a National/Open/Non Pro Futurity/Derby Championships.
* Mares: Must have produced 3 or more progeny with combined earnings of over $30,000 in prize money or have produced 3 separate progeny, which have won a National/Open/Non Pro Futurity/Derby Championships (minimum $5000 earnings per horse).
* Performance Horses: Must have earnings of over $30,000 in prize money or have won 3 x National Championships Futurity/Derby/Open/Open Non Pro, or promoted Reining in Australia to the highest standard.
* Horses: This is a special category for horses that do not meet the criteria in any other category but have promoted Reining in Australia. This category is for Stallions, Mares and Performance horses that have had a great impact on the Reining industry in Australia.

* Benchmark of $100000 in earnings or a person or horse whose fame makes him or her seem exceptional: he is a living legend
